About

Amber Dew Events was founded by Lord Russell Baker, when he realised the demand for dynamic and exciting sports themed events in Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond.

Following a highly successful career in the blue chip corporate world, Lord Baker has therefore created a company which combines his professional knowledge with his exceptional contacts, to offer corporate companies and individuals the opportunity to work with him to create truly unique sports themed events.

Offering a range of sports, including darts, snooker, cycling, white water rafting, rowing and beach volleyball, Amber Dew Events creates professional sporting occasions, designed to engage audiences, challenge participants and most of all inspire all who take part.

For anything from corporate entertaining to fundraising, individual pursuits and challenges to team building, Amber Dew Events works with their clients to create a truly exclusive and inspirational event. With their professional connections and contacts in the world of sport, they also offer unique opportunities to include sporting legends, medallists, Olympians and icons at your event.

Russell Baker and Keith Deller

For over 20 years, Lord Russell Baker has been highly successful delivering enterprise  architecture for successful innovative and strategically aligned technical solutions in the Private Sector, the Public Sector and internationally.

However following the tragic loss of his wife Bridget in 2007, he realised that this defining moment in his life was a crossroads and that now he wanted to dedicate his life to giving back to others and has charitable works began. By 2009 he was running half marathons, raising money through sponsorship, but he knew that he wanted to achieve much more. In 2012, his sights were then set on charity auctions, which raised vital funds for EACH.

He raised the bar further in 2014 by establishing the ‘Lord Baker Community Fund’ with the Norfolk Community Foundation, to promote

• Health and wellbeing
• Tackle disadvantage
• Support local solutions to meet local needs
• Community cohesion

He also helps support local charities and community projects with specific needs through the Community Grant-Giving scheme, which offers grants of up to £1,000. Thus far, East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH), Star Throwers Cancer Care & Support, Chapel Road School for Severely Disabled Children and the Norfolk Community Foundation have been supported by the ‘Lord Baker Community Fund’, with more support already pledged to NARS (Norfolk Accident Rescue Service) in 2016.
